What the Forum really appreciates is hearing real life stories of what is happening in on the ground in Central Asia as well as really getting to know more about the ministries of our members. So for our next few gatherings we are doing just that along with plenty of time to meet other people with a heart to minister to and pray for the region.
From one agency we will hear some background to what they are doing across Central Asia right now and an outline some hopes and dreams for the future.
We will be hearing from another well-known organisation (a household name) about their work supporting and inspiring churches in Central Asia to engage with issues of poverty and justice, equipping them to fulfil their biblical mandate to 'remember the poor' and be a 'voice for the voiceless'. The speaker is known to many of us and has lived and ministered in the region.
As always now, we will be brought up to date with the realities of the difficulty that Christians face across the Central Asian region, fleshing out some of the reports we read.
There will of course be an opportunity for everyone to bring news of developments, ministries and prayer requests to the meeting, as well as a chance for fostering networking and exploring new partnerships.
Payment of the £15 fee (for both members and non-members of GC) is required in advance, when booking, to help to cover the cost of the venue and other expenses. Drinks will be provided (from 11.30am) but please bring your own lunch.
