Day conference run by the Centre for Missionaries from the Majority World - a conversation for pastors and missionaries

This mission conference will explore how missionaries and pastors from the Majority World can work in partnership with indigenous British Christians. The conference is intended to be a conversation for pastors and missionaries from the majority world but not excluding indigenous British mission practitioners and church leaders. 

The conference will be run by the Centre for Missionaries from the Majority World, whose team includes: Revd Israel Oluwole Olofinjana, Dr Harvey Kwiyani, Tayo Arikawe and Peter Oyuge.

Questions the conference will be addressing include:

  1. What are the challenges that need to be overcome for partnership between the majority world and indigenous British Christians to be effective?
  2. How can we develop dialogue as equal partners with British church leaders?

The conference fee is £20 which will help towards the expenses, including the cost of the meal. We will invoice you for this sum when we accept your registration.

In order to facilitate good conversation, numbers will be limited, so that we have an equal number of delegates from each of the two main categories.  When booking please indicate whether you are:

A) A pastor or missionary from the majority world or

B) An indigenous British mission practitioner or church leader

To help us to maintain an equal number of delegates from the majority world and from the indigenous British, it will be a few days before you hear whether we are able to accept your registration, send an invoice and, on receipt of your payment, confirm your place.  We hope that you will be sympathetic to this process, which will take longer but should enable good and productive conversation at the conference.  We pray that you will be sympathetic to the process and that not too many will be disappointed, should we find that we are unable to accept some of the registrations. Thank you for your understanding about this.

Cancellation Policy: 50% of the booking charge will be refunded if cancellation is made at least one month prior to the event. For cancellations of less than one month we would not normally expect a refund to be made.
