The creative and varied programming of SAT-7 speaks of Christ in a region where for many this is the only chance they have to hear the gospel. The programmes are largely made, and broadcast, in Arabic, but we also carry programmes in Farsi and Turkish. The channel is funded as a charity, built on a programming policy that does not ask for funds on air, or sell airtime to western ministries.
By carrying the voice of the Middle Eastern church it shows that it is possible to be a Middle Eastern Christian. This counters the misconception that Christianity is a Western religion. Telephone counselling centres around the region provide a follow up network for viewers. SAT-7s audience is estimated at around six million (Intermedia). Every month we hear from thousands of those viewers, sharing stories of transformation, renewal and new life.
