It will probably come as no surprise, but we are deeply sorry to inform you that due to the current Coronavirus situation and government advice, it has been necessary to postpone the Global Connections Conference which should have been taking place from 12th-14th May 2020.
The conference will be rescheduled to a date in 2021 to be announced in due course and we will endeavour to explore the same topic and ensure high quality speakers. It will still take place at Yarnfield Park Conference Centre in Staffordshire.
What happens now?
Your booking will automatically transfer to the 2021 date, so you do not need to do anything at this stage if you still wish to attend the Global Connections Conference. If you would prefer a refund, please email firstname.lastname@example.org. Please note that refunds may take a little longer to process during this time.
If you would prefer a refund, would you be willing to prayerfully consider donating some of your refund back, to help cover Global Connections’ current costs for the conference? We have already invested into promotional materials and will also be absorbing the cancellation fee into this year’s budget. We recognise that we are not the only ones entering a time of financial uncertainty and hardship in the current circumstances, so please don’t feel under any obligation. We would however be very grateful for any help you feel able to give; donations can be made online at globalconnections.org.uk/donate.
Let’s cover this time in prayer
We want to thank you for your patience and understanding, and for bearing with us as a decision was made. Global Connections is actively covering this situation in prayer, praying regularly as a staff team for the crisis, our members, their mission partners and ministries, and all those affected by the impact of this virus. We know that nothing is impossible for God so please join us in praying for an end to this outbreak and please also consider praying for the work of Global Connections during this time.
We are grateful to the many people who have already joined us in prayer, and we are certain God will use this situation for good. Let’s also pray that people remember to show Christian kindness and generosity to missionaries, churches and charities that may be facing financial hardship – and to care for our more immediate neighbours.
Thank you for your continued support and remember that you are not alone. Global Connections is here to help you in any way we are able and will continue to do so, even in the middle of this storm.
