Cross-cultural leadership: terrifying or terrific?

Leadership in cross-cultural settings can be extremely complex.

There are unique issues that those leading cross-culturally face. Are there particular traits or core competencies that are needed for such a role? How do we identify people who would be good cross-cultural leaders? And how should we equip and support them so that they – and those they are leading – thrive in their ministry?

During the day together we will explore the questions outlined above, and tackle:  

  • What does it mean to be a good cross-cultural leader? 
  • From a distance, how do we as HR people support mission partners who are in cross-cultural leadership roles? 
  • What happens when it goes wrong?
  • And how can we help leaders avoid burnout?

The event starts at 11.00am (refreshments from 10.30am) and finishes at 4.00pm.

The cost is £40 to people from GC member agencies and churches. Cost for non GC members is £100. Refreshments and lunch are included in the price. Please complete the form below to book your place.
