Are honour and shame two sides of the same coin? Is an honour-shame paradigm helpful or a hindrance? How might we understand honour and shame, particular as they are experienced within many Muslim communities? In what ways is our core message of “Jesus is Lord” focussed on honouring Christ? How does the atonement address shame?
We will explore biblical, psychological and missiological perspectives.
Our considerations will be led by Shirin Bahrami and Colin Edwards with a response by Timo Keskitalo.
