General Data Protection Regulations (GDPR)

All agencies need to pay careful attention to two recent changes:

- The British government has established the Fundraising Regulator to strengthen the system of charity regulation and to restore public trust in fundraising.
- Also, building on the existing Data Protection Act, the General Data Protection Regulations will come into effect on 25 May 2018 (unaffected by Brexit) and will bring significant new obligations on organisations and rights for individuals.
