Funding the Family Business

Funding the Family Business is designed to help you to not only understand the process of support raising but also discover that support-raising is much more than a financial transaction.


This course is intended for anyone currently engaged in, or thinking about, raising personal support for their Christian work taking a close look at the practicalities of support-raising while setting it within the context of the rich, biblical model and tackling some of the 'heart problems' which can inhibit ministries from reaching their full potential. The training picks out the key steps towards increasing and maintaining a strong support base.

This day is not about learning how to fundraise, but the richer, biblical model of learning to receive and understanding your role in God's 'family business'.

The training includes:

• Biblical principles of giving and receiving to engage the heart.
• The whys and hows of giving to inform the head.
• Practical suggestions for raising support to equip the hands.
• Inspiring stories of people like you.
• Exercises to put into practice immediately. 

Presented by Myles Wilson of Funding the Family Business and using the Funding the Family Business workbook as its basis, the training picks out the key steps towards increasing and maintaining a strong support base.

Cost is £18 for MAP Members and £38 for non-members (inc. tea/coffee throughout and lunch). If you do not have a copy of the workbook you can choose to purchase one when making your booking at an additional cost of £10.

Registration and tea/coffee will be served at 09:30am while the training will begin at 10:00am.

Cancellation Policy: 50% of the booking charge will be refunded if cancellation is made at least one month prior to the event. For cancellations of less than one month we would not normally expect a refund to be made.
