30 Days of Prayer for the Muslim World: The 30 Days of Prayer for the Muslim World is an international movement that began in 1993. It calls the church to make a deliberate but respectful effort to learn about, pray for, and reach out to our world’s Muslim neighbours. It coincides annually with the important Islamic month of religious observation – Ramadan, a time of the year when Muslims are much more deeply aware of spiritual matters. Join the millions of Christians around the world, and churches and ministries from many denominations, who regularly participate in this largest ongoing prayer focus on the Muslim world. A new, full-colour prayer guide booklet – available each year in both adult and kids versions – is a proven tool to help Christians to understand and to persistently pray for Muslim neighbours and nations. Pray that many Muslims will have an encounter with Jesus during Ramadan this year.

Pray for those affected by the White Island volcano eruption: We pray for those injured following the White Island volcano eruption in December. Ask that the Lord will bring quick recovery of body and mind. May God comfort those who have lost loved ones. Pray also for the emergency services, as retrieval of the deceased from the disaster site and repatriation continues.
Solidarity following Sri Lankan bombings: We remember those who have had their lives ended in the Easter Day bombings. Pray for those families and communities who have lost loved ones, for the injured and those who are caring for them. Pray for the work that has to be done to restore peace.
30 Days of Prayer book: The ‘30 Days of Prayer’ book enables the reader to engage in prayer for our Middle Eastern contacts during the month of Ramadan (5th May to 4th June). “If we do not pray then prejudice will gain power, fear will fester and relationships built across divides will die. 30 Days of Prayer helps Jesus-followers to respond with love to Muslim people. 30 Days of Prayer inspires us to make friends with those of other faiths and cultures. We believe prayer helps Muslim people meet Jesus.” Over the past 26 years, millions of Christians have joined together across denominations and cultures to pray in over 23 languages for Muslim people. 30 Days UK seeks to follow an ethos of partnerships with local churches and mission agencies in order to see Muslim people have a personal relationship with Jesus; help Christians gain a better understanding about Muslim people, their faith and diverse cultures; see an increase in efforts to respond with love and compassion to the needs of Muslims around the world. Pray that 30 Days of Prayer bears fruit for the Lord.

Killings in Bangui: An answer to prayer; we thank God that the security issues that occurred in Bangui in April and May seem largely to have been brought under control, although there are still rumours of killings and violence in parts of the city. Thank God for his protection on our colleagues there. Further east, there are more serious problems again, so please pray for all who have been caught up in the violence there, have lost loved ones, and have been forced to flee their homes. Pray for peace to come.
Threats of prosecution: In Uzbekistan earlier this year, police raided Urgench Baptists and threatened them with criminal prosecution for meeting at Easter. In August last year there was a raid on a Protestant meeting, and the interrogations and charges against the same Protestants continue. Women in an Urgench church continue to be targeted by male officials, accompanied by flagrant violations by police, bailiffs, and a court of due legal process. As persecution continues, please pray for boldness for these believers, that the Lord will use this situation to call many Uzbeks into his kingdom.
