DATIC (Darnall Attercliffe and Tinsley in Contact) Trust runs Galeed House - A Place of Friendship which is a community centre in this ethnically diverse area of Sheffield
The Trust employs a men's outreach worker , 2 teachers of English, a part time manager/ administrator and finance clerk. All other workers are volunteers. Galeed House offers free English lessons to both men and women, a ladies sewing drop in and lunch club, kids and youth clubs and other occasional activities aiming to build friendships within the community. The outreach worker is also a member of a local faith forum and has regular meetings with the leaders of local mosques.
