Seeing young people's lives changed by Jesus. Taking good news relevantly to every young person in the Ivybridge area.

Ivybridge Youth for Christ is one of 70 local centres which operate as a chartered ministry of British Youth For Christ. It was started in September 2006 by Elis Norton who is still the Director. Ivybridge YFC shares the same values as British Youth For Christ.

What do we do?: Our objective is to take the good news of the gospel to every young person in the Ivybridge area. This means meeting young people in schools, youth centres, churches and parks, and on streets and South Hams beautiful beaches! In fact, anywhere where there are young people. This is being done through supporters in Ivybridge and the surrounding areas.  Key areas of our work are:

Primary Schools: Here we support schools via assemblies, lessons and Christian clubs such as SHINE clubs in Newton Ferrers & Holbeton Primary Schools

Secondary Schools: Currently our major work here is at Ivybridge Community College. This involves two lunchtime groups [Rock Solid (Yrs 7-9) and Orbit (Yrs 10-13)].

Detached outreach:  We take our youth bus to Ivybridge Skate Park (Fri.), South Brent Rec (Thurs. - term time only) and Yealmpton Fore Street (Tues. monthly)
