Services in Member Care
Services in member Care comes out of Susan's own experience as a mission partner overseas and in the home staff of a mission and expresses a heart to care for and support those preparing for, or involved in, cross cultural Christian ministry.
Susan Chalmers was born and brought up in Glasgow but now lives in Retford, a market town in Nottinghamshire. She spent 11 years with the Baptist Missionary Society in Zaire as a nurse/midwife. On return to Scotland in 1991 she undertook further theological and mission studies and at both Glasgow Bible College and New College, Edinburgh. Research papers concentrated on pastoral issues relating to those involved in cross-cultural mission.
More recently she served as Personnel manager with Action Partners, based at Bawtry in South Yorkshire for 8 years and currently does some part-time work for Assemblies of God World Ministries.
