Please pray for the impact and fruit of the book 'Equipping Intercultural Workers for Mission: A Contextualised Design for Mission Training' by Muluugetta Demissie (from East Africa) as a resource for all those engaged in training workers for the harvest, especially in contexts of culturally contextualised ministry.

In Enugu, a seminar looking at the foundations of biblical preaching will take place for 450 clergy, church teachers and ministry leaders. The facilitators will be Jwan Zhumbes, Samuel Obiajulu Ike, Christian Onyeaka, Chukwuemeka Egbo, Zion Ngoka, Ogechi Donald and Hankuri Tawus Gaya. Pray that this seminar will mark a turning point for preaching within the Diocese, producing pulpits shaped by careful Bible study, Christ-centered proclamation, and pastoral faithfulness.

Kedo Peseyie and Nini Iasuh will facilitate a Level 1 preaching seminar in Kohima Town for 30 women. This will be the first time a seminar has been organised exclusively for women leaders in Nagaland. Women are influential in our churches. Pray that they will be impacted greatly so that churches will see the value and power of biblical preaching.

Please remember our International Director Riad Kassis and his wife Izdihar in your prayers: last month, their house in Lebanon was partially destroyed by a catastrophic fire.

Pray for Teresa David, the first woman from Angola to obtain a PhD in biblical studies, who is seeking to help the Church fight cultures of corruption both inside and outside.

Give thanks to God for the dedicated Literature Distribution staff who work out of the Langham Service Centre in Carlisle. Continue to pray for Roshi Philip and his team, especially as the ‘Library Grants’ season gets underway this month (through this scheme, nearly 700 Majority World Bible Colleges order contextually relevant resources either for free or at heavily discounted rates).

This month is the third and final month of Langham Preaching Director Paul Windsor’s much-needed sabbatical. Please pray that he will continue being refreshed as he rests from his usual duties. Pray that the Lord will help and strengthen Paul when he returns in March.

Across South Asia, many people see Christianity as a foreign religion, partly because God’s Word is not available in local languages. Pray for the gospel to be proclaimed both verbally and in written form in people’s own languages so that people will know and understand that Jesus died and rose for them, too.

CMS partners Elise and Jon Fletcher work with the local community in Khlong Toei, a slum in Bangkok, Thailand. Pray for Jon’s work with the Alternative Care Thailand coalition as they educate international schools across the country about the value of family-based care for all children.

Pray for Christians in the Diocese of Toliara, Madagascar, who use a discipleship course called Rooted in Jesus, to keep growing in their faith as they study. Pray for Florent Lahitody, a priest in the diocese, as he disciples others and encourages them in their faith.

CMS partners Chris and Suzy Wilson work in reconciliation and peacebuilding with Christian leaders in Ethiopia, including through training church leaders in refugee camps. Pray for Chris and his colleague Simon to continue to be allowed into the camps and for more church leaders in refugee camps to have the opportunity to receive training.
