Caribbean - difficulties in ministry - IFES

Praise God for the funding recently received for the ministry of JeanDavy, a new IFES Caribbean staff member supporting ministry in Francophone territories. These areas traditionally face more difficulties in ministry than those in English- or Dutch-speaking areas, with economic and migration challenges impacting movement sustainability or bans on religious groups meeting on campus making it harder for student and school groups to meet, study God’s word and share the gospel. Pray for Jean-Davy as he works with the movements in Haiti, Martinique, Guadeloupe, French Guiana and builds on previous pioneering work in St Martin.

Audio, visual and print

Suriname Bible Society has the opportunity to work in the three small countries located at the northeast coast of South America: Suriname, Guyana and French Guyana. Working in these three different countries with each one having their own identity, ethnic, religion and language groups, social and economic structure is an extra motivation to reach everyone in these countries with the word of God. Pray for those that need to hear the word that they would have it in their preferred format, audio, visual or print. Praise God for the new Bible in Sranang Tongo and pray for the ongoing Bible translation into Surinamese Javanese.

No organisations are currently associated with this country. We recommend visiting the region page (e.g. South America) to see a list of organisations involved in this part of the world.
