One Christian radio station in Guinea is experiencing an increase in the number of people visiting their station. A staff member wrote: “Today 21 people came and 21 prayed to receive Jesus! One older lady came to give a testimony. Thérèse had prayed for her at her house on Sunday. The lady has a heart problem, can barely walk and has been to other countries to see many doctors but to no avail. She felt something changed after the prayer and came today to show us she had been healed! She climbed the 4 flights of stairs to the radio station with no problem. Amazing! She prayed to receive Christ.” Pray for their broadcasts today and for listeners to respond.
Praise God that a well-known witch doctor, almost dying because of an infection in his jaw, gave his life to Christ and was healed. He is a walking miracle! Now he, his wives and his children and grandchildren are all walking with the Lord and, according to his pastor, they are the strongest believers in his church. Pray for more believers and more such miracles among the Fulani.
Since February, more than 900 people have died as a result of Ebola in Liberia, Sierra Leone and Guinea, with suspected cases in Nigeria. Tearfund partners are working with churches to improve awareness and understanding of Ebola among their communities and to help prevent the spread of the disease. Pray for the disease to be contained, for the recovery of those already going through treatment, and for the international community to provide additional health expertise swiftly.
