No bricks? No problem!
"I love it when I get to use the technical skills he has given me"
Robert and Philippa’s honeymoon took them to Madagascar on a one-way ticket. They left their jobs, families and possessions. All they took was a Bible verse from Numbers: “You will have no inheritance in their land, nor will you have any share among them; ‘I am your share and your inheritance among the Israelites.’”
For years, the Lord has provided not only for them but also for each ministry that they have been a part of, in various countries across Africa.
Right now, they are focused on the Yawo people of Malawi. God has provided land, a licence and the finances to build a new radio station to reach this unreached tribe. The problem is, there is a major shortage of bricks in Malawi to build anything with.
So, Robert and Philippa are currently back home in South Africa, building a radio station that will be driven to Malawi on the back of two trucks! A local business man donated modified shipping containers for them to transform into studios.
As a Reach Beyond radio engineer my role is to advise our partner on this project. I love it when I get to see God’s plans coming together. I love it when I get to use the technical skills he has given me to do this!
