Alexandra House of Joy
My husband and I are the Founders of Alexandra House of Joy, which has been set up in memory of our daughter, Alexandra, who passed away March 2019. Through a God given Vision, our Mission is to build a much needed and very unique Multipurpose Centre for adults with learning disabilities. We have been gifted land which is in Bicester, Oxfordshire, and we are working hard to establish the much needed funds to build. We have been gifted land and are at present waiting for planning permission. We are at the final hurdle in that process. The Centre will have facilities for Day Time Support, Respite Holiday breaks, and Hospice Palliative care. In addition we shall be offering the following - Primary Care Support services, Employment for adults with LD through our Cafe and Kitchen gardens, Services to the local community for anyone with medical health needs in our Hydrotherapy pool, Meeting/Conference availability, Future exhibitions and craft sales, and a link for good transitions from schools to adult support.
