Crossgate Church - Preston

Our Senior Pastor had a vision of a church that would exist to reach those who didn’t know God, creating a community for those not yet on a spiritual journey. In September 1995 in a small village called Longton, the first service had 40 people. Since then, we’ve met in locations around the city, where God has allowed us to grow and increase to around 400 people.

In 2016 we moved into Landmark, our own building under our new name of Crossgate Church. We are now able to reach and serve more people throughout Preston and South Ribble as we are based in the city centre.

We believe church is a place for every generation to worship and know God. We love engaging our kids and young people, during our Sunday services where we teach Bible principles and create memories. Throughout the week we continue to reach out to the community with youth, mid-week services for the older generation and hubs across our region.

Our church exists to meet the needs of the world and serve people in our community in a way that Jesus described in Matthew 25.

Our Vision, Mission and Values are as follows:

Vision:  To reach the lost in Preston and help people come to Know God, Find Freedom, Discover Purpose, Make a Difference

Mission: Our purpose at Crossgate Church is rooted in the words of Jesus 3’cs; commandment, commission and compassion.

Great Commandment

Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength.'  The second is this: 'Love your neighbour as yourself.' There is no commandment greater than these. Mark 12:  30-31

Great Commission

Therefore, go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age. Matt 28:19-20

Great Compassion

For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you invited me in, I needed clothes and you clothed me, I was sick and you looked after me, I was in prison and you came to visit me.’ Matt 25:35-36

Values:  Passion, Generosity, Servanthood, Everyone, Excellence, Community
