HOPE International School is a vibrant, nurturing school community with a vision to see students impact the world for Christ. HOPE School exists to support missionary and Christian expatriate families working with the people of Cambodia and surrounding regions. We have campuses in both Phnom Penh and Siem Reap.

HOPE International School embraces the diversity of God’s people, with over 420 students representing 32 nationalities, from Preschool to Year 12.

HOPE offers quality education in an international context.  We nurture our students’ God-given gifts and abilities, with programmes in music and worship, art and design, sports, technology, and a range of extra-curricular activities to complement their academic studies.

Curriculum and Accreditation

HOPE offers an international core curriculum compatible with the Australian, New Zealand, North American and United Kingdom education systems. The curriculum is objective led, being based upon clearly defined, progressive learning objectives. Such objectives have been developed using the expertise and experience of teachers from a range of educational backgrounds, in a range of English speaking countries. All disciplines are taught with a biblical worldview.

We are an accredited University of Cambridge International Examination Centre and offer the International General Certificate of Secondary Education (IGCSE).  We are also accredited to offer the International Baccalaureate - Diploma Programme for our Year 11 and Year 12 students. HOPE International School is accredited with the Association of Christian Schools International (ACSI).

Course Load and Expectations

Full-time teachers are normally expected to teach a 25 period course load. In the Middle and High Schools this would represent 5 classes. Teachers are also expected to participate in staff devotions, school assemblies, playground supervision and in extra-curricular activities and events.

Serving at HOPE

All expatriate staff at HOPE International School are volunteers who are affiliated with a mission organisation or like minded sending church. HOPE does provide a living allowance, which is enough to cover your rent, utilities and basic daily living expenses. Staff however are expected to raise extra financial support to meet their individual living standards. The staff body is made up of singles, married couples and families. Many teachers live within cycling distance of the school, in local Cambodian neighborhoods.  Both Phnom Penh and Siem Reap have English speaking church services catering to a variety of worship styles.
