Choices for disabled people

We are the UK’s largest Christian disability charity, formed through the merger of two charities both founded by Victorian social justice pioneers: The Shaftesbury Society and John Grooms.

Inspired by our Christian faith, we have built up over 160 years of experience in campaigning for social change and providing high quality services to enable disabled and disadvantaged people to achieve real choice, independence and opportunity.

We are working towards a transformed society where disabled and disadvantaged people can live life to the full.

From disability care provision, raising awareness of mental health, promoting social inclusion, supporting independence and working to enhance community life, Livability has an impact in a wide range of communities around the UK.
