The MARS Trust is a registered charity that aims to help prevent relationship breakdown by empowering young people to make informed relationship decisions. MARS provides workshops teaching key relationship skills - communication, conflict management, commitment and choice. These skills help build fulfilling relationships: personally, socially, in work and sport. MARS works within the school curriculum, at pivotal moments of teenage life, to ensure equal access to all young people in a local community.
MARS courses comprise multi-media workshops, led by accredited presenters. Students work in small groups, facilitated by trained volunteers, to ensure that every individual is engaged. Volunteer teams are mainly from churches within the school catchment areas.
MARS does not proselytize, but operates within a Christian ethos.
