Operation Agri is showing Christian love in action: helping poor communities in three continents with long-term development - farming, healthcare, water, income generation, pre-schools, training. OA supports projects run by Christian overseas partners, attacking basic causes of poverty in both rural and urban communities.
OA is a volunteer-led charity established by the Baptist Men's Movement in 1961, with close links to BMS World Mission. The trustees have good expertise in assessing projects for their sustainable development potential.
In Uganda, oxen and ploughs release women from digging by hand.
In Nicaragua, Health Promoters give basic healthcare and teach hygiene: “we don’t have children dying any more”.
Many churches use the OA Annual Appeal pack of resources at Harvest time, and individual supporters receive the Outreach Abroad magazine four times a year. Through this support, Operation Agri is able to send over a quarter million pounds to overseas projects annually.
