Strood Community Project
Strood Community Project is a charity established by three local churches in 2006 to address social and economic needs in the local area. We believe that helping our neighbour is core to what the church should be about. Our vision is to see a happy, confident and prosperous Strood and surrounding area. We are committed to being a dynamic and flexible organisation ready to evolve to address emerging needs. We will help anyone, offering advice, hope and practical assistance, tailoring our support according to their needs. This holistic approach has resulted in the development of a range of resources and services including: Employability support (CV writing, training, etc) Advice Centre Literacy, numeracy training IT skills training Walking Group Charity Shop Foodbank Opportunities to find out about the Christian faith Strood Community Project leads a large partnership project intended to improve the quality of support and response for local people in hardship crisis. It also leads a European partnership project seeking to improve the quality fo support provided to NEET young people. Strood Community Project receives donations and grants from individuals, churches, charitable trusts and others, including the European Union.
