Equipping God's people for God's work in God's world

Tilsley College opened in 1975 with a view to training people for Christian service in the UK and abroad. Since then hundreds of students have come through our doors and many of them are now serving God across the world.

We offer one to three year accredited courses which combine theological and biblical reflection with practical experience. Most year one students are residential and therefore also learn by living together in community. Years two and three are internship years, so the students spend the bulk of the year in a ministry location which combines with intensive weeks of study and lectures back in the college.  In addition, we open some of our courses to external access students and run an evening class programme, called 'Joshua', both in Motherwell and in other parts of the UK. We run short programmes like ADVANCE, a compact course in biblical studies and Christian mission and colloborate with others to deliver a gap-year programme called FirstServe.
